Provides classroom, clinical and / or laboratory instruction to nursing students in the areas of nursing concepts and clinical practice, uses traditional, non-traditional, and innovative methods of instructions, including the use of technology; uses effective interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills while instructing in an integrated curriculum that emphasizes professionalism, ethical decision-making, accountability, critical thinking, and effective communication; utilizes the application of liberal arts constructs, science, health, nursing theories, and evidence-based practice to achieve these curriculum outcomes. Adult medical-surgical patients are the focus of this practice, based upon the needs of the patient and healthcare system. The DOA supervises and manages the day-to-day operations of the Admissions Department, including: student recruitment, following admissions procedures, providing training and oversight directed by corporate policy and general enrollment operations.
