Overseas Substance Abuse Counselor

Details: Position Overview:This position implements a community-based adolescent substance abuse prevention and treatment program for the adolescent dependents of U.S. Service members at various U.S. Military installations in Europe and the Pacific Rim. The essential prevention and education role includes classroom education for adolescents, in-service training to community agencies, community education, screening for and facilitation of prevention support groups for youth from high-risk environments and participation in community awareness campaigns.  Counselor Duties Include:·         Intake, screening, assessment, and management of case load·         Provide AOD training and specialized education on a variety of topics·         Treatment planning, discharge, records management, and continuing care planning for case load·         Participation in quality assurance·         Case record management and documentation·         Securing and maintaining written referral agreements with all community agencies, briefing referral agencies about the ASACS program

Program Director - Nurse Family Partnership Program

Details: PROGRAM DIRECTOR - NURSE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director will supervize and provide direction to the Nurse Home Visitor / Case Manager who utlilizes advance skills to provide individual and family needs and physical assessment, screening for eligibility, case management assignment, and complex education and referral for community intervention services for high-risk families to promote positive family functioning and child outcomes. The Program Director reviews medical charts and referrals from community agencies and the Health Department to determine appropriateness of the referral for the program. The Program Director will work closely with other family support/case management programs in the state and community. The goals of the project are to achieve family outcomes as good as or better than the outcomes that has been demonstrated through research, and aligns with the goals of the Surgeon General and the Office of Population Affairs.

The ideal candidate should enjoy teaching others, solving problems and have a passion for compounding. The main purpose of this position is to be a resource to customers for all compounding needs. The incumbent will provide direction, advice and continuing education in order to assist other pharmacists with either introducing or expanding the practice of compounding in their business. Program development and design is also involved. The incumbent will also be interfacing with clients on technical and formulation queries, developing and reviewing formulations, and new product development.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •          Facilitate compounding courses given to pharmacists & pharmacy technicianso        Conduct lectures on various compounding techniques, topics and issues.o        Assist students with formulation practice.o        Answer questions relating to past pharmacy experience.o        Continuously improve and redesign courses based on advances in technology. •          Provide Direction on Pharmacy Compounding o        Provide a pharmacist point of view about matters presented.o        Technical expert on compounding issues. •          Create/Review Formulas o        Develop formulations as per client requests.o        Verify chemical compatibilities, mathematical calculations and therapeutics pertaining to formulation.o        Apply safety, legal issues and procedures pertaining to formulations.o        Correct and pre-approve final formula presentation. •          Respond to Customer Inquiries o        Provide support to customers with compounding related questions.  •          Additional responsibilities o        Assist in SOP projects.o        Develop and provide consulting services.o        Design presentation and provide training to sales staff on various equipment and techniques TRAVEL: As required for program facilitation.
