Details: Company :  EHN- Western Area Address :  3220 Rosedale Street Company Location :  Gig Harbor, WA 98335 Date Posted :     DISTRICT EDUCATION AND TRAINING DIRECTOR, RNFull TimePOSITION DESCRIPTION:The District Education and Training Director is responsible for the education, training and growth of assigned health center staff and new employees at health centers specific to each district.  This position develops and coordinates validation of the competencies of nursing staff and Health Center staff to ensure proper care and treatment of residents/patients.  Responsible for developing and implementing a mentor program in identifying training needs while providing support to the identified shift personnel.  Ensures that training is delivered in an understandable way. Adheres to federal and state regulations, and follows all Extendicare policies and proceduresMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Currently licensed in the state as Registered Nurse.Experience: Minimum of two years nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care setting. Prior role in staff development and training/education preferred.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:  Must be willing to travel to and between assigned centers. Demonstrable clinical competency and current RN skills.  Strong oral/presentation, written communication skills and basic computer skills.  Ability to work with diverse groups of people: residents, families, community members, other staff and volunteers.  Meet all health requirements imposed by law.  Must have current CPR certification..
