If a new and significant challenge is what you have been longing for, and if you are energized, positive, committed, and desiring to make a difference, then we are looking for YOU to join our team!We currently have an opportunity for a Nuclear Plant Instructor - Chemistry at our Plant Vogtle 1&2 in Waynesboro, GA.  JOB SUMMARY The Nuclear Plant Instructor - Chemistry will design, conduct and evaluate classroom instruction, develop training and examination materials, and process and maintain training records related to the Plant Vogtle Chemistry training program. These activities are instrumental in maintaining the plant's INPO accreditation and ensuring high INPO ratings. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDesign overall training plan and objectives, including; laboratory training, equipping labs for skills training, and scheduling classes.Utilizing the systematic approach to training to develop and maintain Chemistry training materials.Ensure appropriate plant training records are maintained and training programs meet high performance standards and expectations.Conduct quality reviews, research and evaluation as requested by training supervision.Conduct classroom and laboratory training sessions to ensure plant staff is trained, retrained and qualified as required. Conduct corrective action program activities and deadline management.Assist line organizations through temporary assignments, support outages, root cause teams and performance assessments.Managing the Chemistry Training Program.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in chemistry, science or math preferred.Experience: A total of four (4) years of power plant experience, of which a minimum of one (1) year is nuclear power plant experience, in hands-on, industrial or technical environment. A maximum of two (2) years of the remaining three (3) years of plant experience may be fulfilled by academic or related technical training on a one-for-one basis.Working experience as a chemistry technician, chemistry foreman or chemistry supervisor preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Disciplinary knowledge to include the following topics; chemistry fundamentals, laboratory safety and fundamentals, standard laboratory practices, in-line instrumentation, calibration, and laboratory statistics.Familiarity with technical literature specifically, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and laboratory standards.General computer skills and knowledge of laboratory reporting software, for example, CDAS or Lab Stats.Communications skills, to include; written and oral presentation skills, ability to instruct large groups, and delivering coaching feedback.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize.Working knowledge of radiochemistry counting/computer equipment.Behavioral Attributes:Must exhibit the Southern Style behaviors - Unquestionable Trust, Superior Performance, Total Commitment Unquestionable Trust: Honesty, respect, fairness and integrity drive behaviors.
